Originally launched in February 2006, zentu.net began as a hub of accountancy literature and ethical statements by an unemployed MBA in her mid-20's. An advertisement in the community newspaper can be discovered, proving her company really is older, wiser, and more valuable than both Facebook and Craiglist's presence in the region it colonized. Indeed, shortly after that ad was paid for, Craigslist violently overtook her territory in Kinłani. So she decided to take her MBA and Accountancy degrees to the "Bay Area" in northern California.

Once in San Francisco, indie continued working on her digital LLC with only her laptop and an assortment of GNU + Linux* code. With her natural talent for making ugly computer things more beautiful, indie's site began to grow in popularity as her hard work earned her way to some prestigious hackathons. Silicon Valley women in tech had not yet been blessed by President Obama's Lily Ledbetter Law, so indie -- like all female techs who've struggled with the misogyny and racism of "the industry" -- could barely survive. As a recently divorced woman with two college degrees, who had scored a perfect score on the PSAT in 8th grade, the reality of being an orphan set in. She always tells people who mistake her for being "white" that a "white" female would have never survived her life. But she did, despite the fact that her only permanent shelter -- her car -- got smash-window broken into less than a week after she arrived; the narcotic-seeking drug addicts Zuck's family seeded on the West coast robbed someone who had almost nothing.
